Flash (avrdude + PICkit 5 on SBFpi — whichever board is connected)
DRY RUN: avrdude is replaced by a fake; no programmer is used.
Checking flash service…

Flash log
After a flash the unit resets: live strain pauses and comes back after the ~20 s settling tare. The PA3 reader keeps running; no service is restarted.
Flash with MPLAB IPE
- Bench only: disconnect machine actuation. Power the board from an external 3.3 V supply.
- Unzip the download. Check the HEX sha256 against the value above.
- Open MPLAB IPE: Device ATtiny1614, Tool PICkit 5, then Connect.
- File → Import → Hex and pick
firmware.hex(noise-rethink:build-avr-gcc/toolholder-plc.hex). - Program, then Verify.
EEPROM: IPE may erase EEPROM when it programs. For this firmware: —
IPE is the manual path. The Flash button above uses avrdude -D on SBFpi instead (program memory only). It programs the board on the PICkit, not a named unit.
Live strain
—The protocol tag is a hint only: this page cannot tell which firmware is installed on the holder. Samples come from SBFpi's read-only feed, which stamps v3 frames up to about 60 s behind real time; “fresh” means the feed keeps advancing. Chip temperature is the NAU7802 die sensor (datasheet typical constants, per-boot offset), so read it as a trend, not a calibrated value.
